WHAT IS NOT
Wanna Hula is not a halau or traditional hula school. We specialize in
special occasion hula lessons that culminate with a performance.
Your services will be provided by professional hula dancers who have
lots of experience dancing in public and are trained to teach.
Depending on your learning style, you may learn your special occasion
hula with:
- Flashcards or a study sheet to memorize the meaning of the song
- Video so that you will remember your step-by-step hand and feet
motions even when you return back home
Prior to your special day, you will also be given helpful advice on:
- What to wear to match your hula performance
- Special adornments to look your best
If you are looking for traditional hula lessons or cultural knowledge about
hula and Hawai`i, we'd love to provide you with a reference to another
school.
